How to Choose Which Core the Application Is Going to Run On

Do you have a Dual-Core CPU in your PC?
If you don't have a Dual Core CPU, or Windows, this is no place for you.
This is how to choose which core the selected App is gonna run on.

Steps


  1. Open Task Manager by pressing the CTRL + ALT + DEL( DELETE ) buttons.
  2. Press the Processes tab.
  3. Choose a application.
  4. Right click it.
  5. Press Set Affinity
  6. Choose which CPU Core it's gonna run on. ( If you got a CPU with more then just 2 Cores, you can choose between + 2 Cores )


Tips


  • It's recommended that you allow that the Application can run on both Cores.


Warnings


  • Too many Apps on one CPU Core is not good for your CPU
  • Do NOT put all Apps running on your PC on one Core ( If you do, keep a bucket of water near )

  • A Dual-Core CPU ( AMD: AMD Athlon/Sempron X2 & AMD Phenom ) ( Intel: Core 2 Duo/Quad/Extreme )
